1. Our Mission

ProvenMaker exists to help genuine handmade sellers document and verify their craft. We provide tools for creators to build timestamped, cryptographically signed records of their creative process — giving them organized proof of originality they can use in IP disputes, marketplace appeals, or simply to build trust with buyers.

We believe that strong documentation benefits the entire handmade ecosystem: sellers, buyers, and the marketplaces that connect them. Our goal is to make verification simple, accessible, and trustworthy.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ProvenMaker ("the Service"), operated by ProvenMaker ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information when creating your account and to update it as necessary.

5. Acceptable Use & Anti-Abuse Policy

ProvenMaker is built exclusively to serve legitimate, original creators. We take the integrity of our verification system seriously. By using the Service, you agree that:

• All evidence you submit (photos, documents, receipts, and other materials) must be genuine, unaltered, and accurately represent your own creative work.
• You will not use ProvenMaker to fraudulently claim ownership of work you did not create, to manufacture false evidence, or to misrepresent mass-produced goods as handmade.
• You will not use a ProvenMaker verification or badge to support bad-faith IP claims against other sellers.
• You will not upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
• You will not attempt to manipulate, circumvent, or abuse our verification process.

Violations of this policy will result in immediate account termination, revocation of all verification badges and proof packages, and may be reported to the relevant marketplace platforms. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion.

6. Verification & Proof Packages

Our verification process involves human review of the evidence you submit. A ProvenMaker verification confirms that, based on the materials provided, we believe in good faith that you are the original creator of the work documented.

Verification is not a legal certification, trademark registration, or guarantee of outcome in any dispute. Proof packages are timestamped records of the evidence you submitted — they document what was provided and when, but the strength of any claim depends on the quality and authenticity of the underlying evidence.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to ProvenMaker. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (including generating proof packages, displaying your public profile, and rendering your verification badge).

The ProvenMaker name, logo, badge designs, and website content are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission, except as provided through the Service (such as embedding your verification badge).

8. Privacy & Data

We collect and process your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your uploaded evidence is stored securely and is not shared with third parties unless you choose to make your profile or proof package public.

9. Fees & Billing

ProvenMaker offers both free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as described on our pricing page. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Founding member pricing, where offered, will be honored for the duration specified at the time of signup.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that verification will prevent IP disputes, result in successful appeals, or protect your marketplace listings.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProvenMaker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, particularly the Acceptable Use & Anti-Abuse Policy. Upon termination, your verification badges will be deactivated and your proof packages will no longer be publicly accessible.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
